Anonymous activists have taken credit for throwing concrete bricks through windows and doors at Christian Liberty Academy in Arlington Heights to protest the banquet for the “homophobic hate group” and guest speaker Scott Lively, co-author of The Pink Swastika and founder of Watchmen on the Walls. Pro-’gay’ groups take ‘pressure tactics’ to PayPal

September 16th, 2011 1 comment

by Charlie Butts

The homosexual activist group All Out is asking PayPal to immediately shut down the online accounts of ten groups it has labeled “anti-LGBT extremist groups.” Most of the groups are U.S.-based. PayPal reportedly has responded, saying it could not comment on individual accounts and must take “the rights of free speech and freedom of religion” into account. Read more…

September 7th, 2011 23 comments

Prop 8 Will Be Back in Court Monday Morning (June 13, 2011)

June 12th, 2011 24 comments

Proposition 8′s sponsors will be in court Monday morning to argue whether Judge Walker’s decision to overturn Prop 8 should be vacated on the basis that the long term same-sex relationship he is involved in (and was involved in at the time of the Prop 8 trial, but failed to disclose) constitutes a conflict of interest.

If you want to follow the hearing, and don’t mind going to the website of one of Prop 8′s opponents to do so, then you can find live updates at http://www.afer.org/june13 starting at 9:00am.

And in CA: Senate bill mandates gay history in schools

May 21st, 2011 83 comments

I found this news on the Women of Grace website:

LifeSiteNews.com is reporting that a proposed new law in California that recently passed out of Committee will mandate pro-gay indoctrination of all public school students by forcing the curricula to incorporate the contributions of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender Americans. Known as SB 48, it was introduced by an openly homosexual state Senator, Mark Leno, and managed to pass the ten-member Education Committee last week by a 6-3 vote. The bill now moves to the Senate Judiciary Committee, where it will be considered in early April.  [Update:  the full California Senate passed the bill on April 14.]

The law, which is supposed to counter discrimination of homosexual youth, contains no opt-out provision for parents or teachers. If passed, it will affect the curriculum for students as early as kindergarten…. Read more…

In MA: “Reach kids…before it’s too late”

May 21st, 2011 40 comments

In an op-ed from the Boston Herald, we learn the following:

Pay attention parents! It’s spring. And before you know it, Massachusetts public schools will begin their yearly sex-ed lessons for kids as young as 5.

Of course, they won’t call it “sex ed.” They’ll call it “health.” But a rose by any other name is still a rose….

Indeed, when specifically asked why the school presents lessons on HIV in the third grade, rather than in middle school, one school administrator made this shocking admission:

“The goal is to reach kids before they absorb their parents’ values. By middle school it’s too late.” (emphasis added)

Only One Side of This Debate Has the Right to Freedom of Speech…

March 28th, 2011 22 comments

Remember when our universities were places where civil discourse was sacred?

Take a look at this video. Read the article while you’re at it.

And yet the advocates of same-sex ‘marriage’ keep assuring us that nobody’s civil rights will have to be abridged for them to have their way.

Homosexual Couple Files Complaint Against Dallas Morning News

March 8th, 2011 70 comments

OK, is this not a full frontal attack on our right to freedom of the press, freedom of speech, and even our freedom of religion, even freedom of thought, no less? Have the advocates of same-sex so-called ‘marriage’ not always vowed that would never happen? But are they not now demanding that everyone else (especially newspapers) call their relationship a ‘marriage’ just because they say that’s what it is, whether or not any of the rest of us happen to think it is so?

Reed-Walkup and Walkup, and that is not a law firm, tried to pay the Dallas Morning News to run a wedding announcement. Officials with the paper, citing the legal status — or rather illegal status — of same-sex marriages in Texas, said, no, no thanks but the announcement can run under the heading “Commitments.” Read more…

Students Have Right to Wear ‘Be Happy, Not Gay’ T-Shirt, 7th Circuit Appeals Court Rules

March 3rd, 2011 11 comments

ABAjournal.com:
The school argued (and still argues) that banning “Be Happy, Not Gay” was just a matter of protecting the ‘rights’ of the students against whom derogatory comments are directed. But people in our society do not have a legal right to prevent criticism of their beliefs or even their way of life.

So they needed a court to explain that citizens don’t have “…a legal right to prevent criticism of their beliefs or even their way of life…”, huh?

Well I’m just glad we got that cleared up.

Pro-Life Flash Mob in Chicago Surprises “Walk for Choice”

You have to see this. (Be sure to watch the video.)

The question at the end of LifeNews.com’s article says it all: “Which side has more joy?

(For the storm troopers who besieged NOM’s Summer for Marriage Tour at every stop last July and August: This is how to do a counter demonstration people! Don’t intimidate, be non-threatening, don’t charge the opposing rally’s stage, stand off and respect the other assembly’s right to free speech, and above all else, do it with joy – not hatred.)

By the way: Did you notice how young the overwhelming majority of the Pro-Life demonstrators were? They are the future, my friends.

Facebook: Criticizing gays no longer allowed, but hoping for Limbaugh’s slow death OK

By Caroline May – The Daily Caller

At the end of last week Facebook announced that it had allied with the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) to remove what it considers anti-gay references from the social networking site.

“This violent, hateful speech has no place in our media – whether it is in print, on the airwaves or online,” GLAAD President Jarrett Barrios said in a press release. “Facebook has taken an important first step in making social media a place where anti-gay violence is not allowed. Our community needs to continue to be vigilant and report instances of hateful comments and images across the site to Facebook moderators as well as post messages of support for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender youth.” Read more…

Who’s for abortion?

On one of my recent trips, I heard from some old-time pro-life sidewalk counselors. These are folks who have been praying outside abortion clinics since Roe v Wade practically. They made this observation: “in the old days, our opponents on the sidewalks would be feminists of some sort. Today, it is far more likely that our opponents will be gay rights people, especially gay men.”
Has anyone else noticed this? What do you make of this observation?

Why is Hillary pushing gay rights upon Africa?

July 13th, 2010 3 comments

Clinton’s “first concern for Africa is how LGBT persons are treated on the continent. . . it is fortunate that the US does not have an embassy in Mogadishu, because if the word got round that THIS was the African priority for the present US administration, there would be a repetition of Black Hawk Down.” For reals! I think they’d probably just laugh, and be disappointed. “Crazy Americans!” they’d say. Read more…

ACLU lawsuit challenges Bible Belt traditions

March 17th, 2010 4 comments

I wonder if ACLU members have lawsuit quotas. Maybe they each have a bar graph on a white board to keep track of their filings. Perhaps the winner at the end of each month gets a plaque, the good parking spot, and an ice cream sunday.

Gay ‘Marriage’ Activists Forcing Pro-Family Views out of California Therapist Association

March 17th, 2010 2 comments

California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (CAMFT) is being pressured heavily to change its nuetral stance on gay marriage. So far they are holding steady where other organizations have already caved. Stay strong, CAMFT! Be an example to others not to be bullied!

By Kathleen Gilbert

SAN DIEGO, California, March 15, 2010 (LifeSiteNews.com) – Abandoning its long-held neutrality on the marriage debate, the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (CAMFT) has slowly come to disavow pro-family views and sexual orientation therapy as “homophobic.” Instead it now warmly supports homosexuality as a “normal and positive” variant of sexuality – all thanks to pressure by gay activists who have openly vowed to transform the organization from within. Spin cycle: the lesbian parenting story that wasn’t

November 28th, 2009 3 comments

by Jennifer Roback Morse

How an event about building character in children became headline advocacy for gays.

A headline squawking “Lesbian parents better at raising children” flew around the English-speaking world last week, having been released by The Times of London. No doubt this thrilled the gay lobby, while alarming traditionalists of all parties. But the real story here is not about lesbians. The real story is the media’s severe case of Gay Infatuation Syndrome: anything that makes gays look good is newsworthy. This seriously misleading headline should caution readers to make a habit of looking behind the headlines. There may be, as in this case, nothing there. Read more…

Lieberman pushing pro-homosexual measures

October 21st, 2009 Comments off

Jim Brown – OneNewsNow -

Senator Joe Lieberman is working hard to advance two top legislative priorities of homosexual activists in Washington.

Senator Lieberman (I-Connecticut) earlier this year introduced the Domestic Partner Benefits and Obligations Act of 2009 (S. 1102), which would extend spousal benefits to the same-sex partners of federal government employees. Those benefits would include federal health insurance, enhanced dental and vision care, retirement and disability provisions and life insurance and benefits in cases of death or disability.

Flip-flopper governor signs ‘Harvey Milk’ bill

October 14th, 2009 Comments off

Charlie Butts – OneNewsNow -

California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger has signed a law designating May 22 as “Harvey Milk Day” for public school students.

Harvey Milk, the first openly homosexual member of the San Francisco Board of Supervisors, was murdered in 1978 while in office. Randy Thomasson of SaveCalifornia.com tells OneNewsNow that in light of the governor’s signature on SB 572, schools in The Golden State are now a source for homosexual indoctrination. Read more…
