While US conservatives are distracted by internal debates, the wealthy and powerful international movement for LGBT rights is aggressively targeting nations that are poorer and less powerful.

Speaking before the United Nations earlier this month–bragging about American leadership in a global movement to normalize homosexuality, same-sex marriage, artificial reproductive technology, and cross-dressing–John Kerry revealed the deep pockets and loaded guns that the world’s only superpower can count on to bring such ideas to nations that have religious or cultural objections: Read more…

A California legal group says The Golden State needs to learn a lesson from an incident in Colorado where a male student, who occasionally self-identifies as a female, is being permitted to use the girls’ restrooms.

Earlier this month, attorneys with Pacific Justice Institute (PJI) sent a legal demand letter to officials at Florence High School in Colorado, asking them to respect the privacy rights of students. The letter was sent in response to the school’s decision to allow a teenage boy to enter the girls’ bathrooms. According to the female students, the boy also made sexually harrassing comments to the girls he encountered. Read more…

National Coming Out Day’s emphasis on “celebrating” students’ self-identification as LGBT undermines Notre Dame’s pastoral responsibility to help students develop an integrated sexual identity and a true understanding of human dignity. Read more…

LOS ANGELES – One of the largest public charter high schools in the nation allows a boy who identifies as female to use the girls locker room and bathrooms – despite protests from a female student who says she feels uncomfortable and vulnerable by his presence.

What’s more, the female student – who just finished her sophomore year at the Los Angeles-based Granada Hills Charter High School – claims the boy in question harassed her, touched her hair, stared strangely at her, and also peeked at girls over the stalls while they used the toilet. Read more…

Redefining heroism

June 4th, 2013 Comments off

by Babette Francis

Which calls for more courage: coming out of the closet, or dealing with the mess that’s left behind?

Presidents usually do not have the time to congratulate or commiserate with every citizen in the headlines, whether for an act of heroism, an academic achievement or a personal tragedy. Their phone calls are reserved for exceptional situations as for the widow of a soldier killed while trying to save the lives of others.

But under the Obama administration heroism is evolving. Read more…

DOJ on ‘gays’: ‘Silence will be interpreted as disapproval’

Matt Barber reveals government brochure on how to treat LGBT employees

Excerpt from the article:

…Our sources have provided Liberty Counsel an internal DOJ document titled: “LGBT Inclusion at Work: The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Managers.” It was emailed to DOJ managers in advance of the left’s so-called “Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT) Pride Month.”

The document is chilling. It’s riddled with directives that grossly violate – prima facie –employees’ First Amendment liberties.

Following are excerpts from the “DOJ Pride” decree. When it comes to “LGBT pride,” employees are ordered: Read more…

Lesbian Activist’s Surprisingly Candid Speech: Gay Marriage Fight Is a ‘Lie’ to Destroy Marriage

May 2nd, 2013 Comments off

Key quote:

“It’s a no-brainer that [homosexuals] should have the right to marry. But I also think equally that it’s a no-brainer that the institution of marriage should not exist. [resounding applause]. That causes my brain some trouble. Part of why it causes me trouble is because fighting for gay marriage generally involves lying about what we’re going to do with marriage when we get there. Because we lie that the institution of marriage is not going to change. And that is a lie. The institution of marriage is going to change, and it should change, and again, I don’t think it should exist.” Read more…

Parents across Massachusetts are upset over new rules that would not only allow transgender students to use their restrooms of their choice – but would also punish students who refuse to affirm or support their transgender classmates.

Last week the Massachusetts Department of Education issued directives for handling transgender students – including allowing them to use the bathrooms of their choice or to play on sports teams that correspond to the gender with which they identify. Read more…

A young woman was fired from the Macy’s San Antonio Rivercenter department store in Texas for refusing to violate her religious beliefs by permitting a young man dressed as a woman from entering the women’s dressing room. Natalie Johnson claims she saw the young man walk out of the women’s fitting room and politely told him that he could not go back in because it was for women only. The cross-dressing young man claimed that he is a “female.” Read more…
