What could end Rush Limbaugh’s career?

November 15th, 2011 Comments off

by Dr. Michael L. Brown

It was surprising to hear Rush Limbaugh say the words, “I don’t have the guts to bring it up” – but he did, on November 8, to his massive radio audience.

Rush Limbaugh lacking the guts to address something publicly? Rush Limbaugh not willing to tackle controversy? Really? Read more…

On October 15, homosexual activists, who later took credit for the attack, threw concrete bricks through the door and windows of the Christian Liberty Academy in suburban Chicago (see earlier story). The site was chosen for the attack because it hosted a fundraising banquet for Americans for Truth About HomosexualityRead more…

From California: Another Front in the Culture Wars

September 30th, 2011 60 comments

By Hadley Arkes

From California again we get a glimpse of the future – or the future that a political class is consciously seeking to prepare for us in reshaping the culture. During the summer the legislature enacted, and Governor Jerry Brown signed into law, SB48, as an amendment to “the Education Code, relating to instruction.” That Code had already made ample provision to instruct the children of California in the contributions made by all racial and ethnic groups supplying votes for politicians. But there was an appreciation also for the contributors who were “entrepreneurs” and labor unions, and whose stories deserved to be told. With SB48 the legislature took a further step by adding: “Pacific Islanders, European Americans, lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender Americans.” Read more…

Liberation—or deprivation?

November 17th, 2010 16 comments

The legalisation of same-sex marriage means that children will grow up without mothers or without fathers. This is progress?

Gays are not second-class citizens but a gay man certainly makes a second-class mother. Two lesbian women may be model citizens, but neither of them can be a Dad to a little boy. The most serious objection to gay marriage is that it means gay parenting, and gay parenting means depriving a child of either his mother or his father. The gay marriage debate, at its heart, is not about the rights and needs of the adults, but of the child. Read more…

Multiplying mommies and daddies

Before we redefine legal “parenthood” we need to know how this affects the best interests of children.

Recently the issues surrounding same-sex relationships in which children are involved have expanded from whether two persons of the same sex can be legally both mother and father to whether or not legal parenthood can include more than two persons. Read more…

Award for gay kids’ books

November 16th, 2010 24 comments

This book is disturbing, and not because of the  homosexuality aspect. I can’t believe this was given an award, as though we should encourage teenagers to read it! Granted, I haven’t read it, so perhaps there’s a redeeming ending where the main character sees how all the stuff he got involved in was bad. However, what this article says about the book makes me think it’s not even something the homosexual community would want to promote. It’s not exactly painting the lifestyle in a positive light. The author of this article has a good point, too,  if the story had a heterosexual “hero,” the book wouldn’t be winning any awards.

Facebook: Criticizing gays no longer allowed, but hoping for Limbaugh’s slow death OK

October 22nd, 2010 3 comments

By Caroline May – The Daily Caller

At the end of last week Facebook announced that it had allied with the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) to remove what it considers anti-gay references from the social networking site.

“This violent, hateful speech has no place in our media – whether it is in print, on the airwaves or online,” GLAAD President Jarrett Barrios said in a press release. “Facebook has taken an important first step in making social media a place where anti-gay violence is not allowed. Our community needs to continue to be vigilant and report instances of hateful comments and images across the site to Facebook moderators as well as post messages of support for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender youth.” Read more…

PERSPECTIVES: Gay Men Only?

Equal, but…

“Kids Do as Well with Same Sex Parents,” the headlines screamed. I crossed swords with Judith Stacey, one of the authors of this most recent study, at a debate at Bowling Green State a few years ago. I asked her point blank if she believed men and women were completely interchangeable as parents. In front of that very friendly audience, she said absolutely: the gender of parents doesn’t matter. And so she says now, in this new article the media loved. But midway through the article, her argument shifts from a “no difference” argument to my favorite definition of feminism: men and women are identical, except women are better. Her article ends with an intimation that I believe tells strongly against same sex marriage. Redefining marriage will create a cultural climate that will drive men out of the family, and lead to the belief that the only good man is a gay man. Read more…

Gay ‘Marriage’ Activists Forcing Pro-Family Views out of California Therapist Association

March 17th, 2010 2 comments

California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (CAMFT) is being pressured heavily to change its nuetral stance on gay marriage. So far they are holding steady where other organizations have already caved. Stay strong, CAMFT! Be an example to others not to be bullied!

By Kathleen Gilbert

SAN DIEGO, California, March 15, 2010 (LifeSiteNews.com) – Abandoning its long-held neutrality on the marriage debate, the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (CAMFT) has slowly come to disavow pro-family views and sexual orientation therapy as “homophobic.” Instead it now warmly supports homosexuality as a “normal and positive” variant of sexuality – all thanks to pressure by gay activists who have openly vowed to transform the organization from within. Degrading Sex, Government Style

Every presidential administration in Washington DC does some things that appear stupid in hindsight. It gets caught up in the moment, pandering to this or that political constituency, or reacting too precipitously to some big or newsworthy event. In our 24-hour-news-cycle world, and especially if we’re sophisticated news consumers, we simply discount the importance of poor presidential decisions and move on, even as we might grow incrementally more cynical over time about government in general. Charlie Butts – OneNewsNow -

An employee at a Brookstone store in Boston Logan Airport is without a job because of his Christian beliefs.

The situation involves a manager from another shop telling Peter Vadala of her impending wedding to another woman. Vedala did not immediately react, nor did he provoke his superior to discuss the issue further. However, after being approached multiple times, he did later express the view of his faith toward homosexual conduct. A short time later, he heard from the chain’s human resources department. This story is of interest because: he got booted for a huge list of reasons, but the media is making it sound like it was only the gay slur. Trying to scare people…..
