AUL: A loss for young girls, a win for sexual predators

Anna Franzonello, staff counsel with Americans United for Life, tells OneNewsNow it is disappointing “to see the administration following a pattern of kowtowing to the abortion industry” when the administration was supposedly trying to protect young girls.

“[This] decision to allow so-called ’emergency contraceptives’ over the counter to anyone regardless of age is being celebrated by the abortion industry as a win for these young girls – but they’re actually the ones who lose,” she argues. “The decision by the administration was a win for ‘big pharma,’ for the abortion industry, and for sexual predators.”

The AUL attorney describes young girls as “a demographic that is highly preyed upon.”

“… Often times their sexual encounters are the result of coercion and abuse,” Franzonello explains. “Even Planned Parenthood’s research on teen pregnancy shows high rates of abuse and coercion of young girls who are getting pregnant.”

Undercover investigations by the pro-life groups Life Dynamics and Live Action prove that children are being victimized by predators and taken to abortion clinics for abortions to remove evidence of their crime. Now, say pro-lifers, predators have an additional tool to protect themselves.
