So Now It’s Going To Be Collusive Litigation By Obama, Is It?

March 3rd, 2011

From the FRC article:

As the president of the Family Research Council (FRC), an organization that has filed amicus briefs defending both Proposition 8 and DoMA, I am troubled by the lightning-fast integration of concepts and actual language from the Attorney General Letter into the Motion to Vacate Stay. Let me repeat: the Motion was filed within two-and-one-half hours of Attorney General’s press conference. Consequently, I am deeply concerned that officials at the Department of Justice were collaborating with the litigants in the Proposition 8 case. Even the appearance of collusion between the Department of Justice and litigants is highly damaging to the rule of law in America.

    What does this even mean? Are you seriously posting an FOIA request as news?

    [I am troubled by the lightning-fast integration of concepts and actual language from the Attorney General Letter into the Motion to Vacate Stay.]

    That the FRC is troubled by is expected. That they file the FOIA request is great, but until the request is answered it means nothing.

    Concern cat is concerned.

    I gotta ask: when religious types die and go to Heaven, aren’t they judged? Exactly what is the explanation they’re going to give when God or the admissions committee or whomever asks why they fought so hard to stop same-sex marriage, which represents love and commitment and security for children, and did nothing to stop legal divorce, which destroys love and commitment, hurts children and is in direct violation from instructions from god and Jesus Christ???

    Is it going to be acceptable to say, “well, I could make a lot more money fighting against the rights of a disliked minority and everybody would laugh at me if I fought against legal divorce!” Somehow I don’t think that is going to fly LOL.

    The FRC (Family Research Council) is a designated hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center. Why would you ever post something from them?

    @Rich
    The Southern Poverty Law Center should talk about hate groups?
